I love the Final Destination movies my fave is the highway pile up. It gives chills how they give the clues leading up to the next death. It really makes you look at death and living in a different kind of way.

I love 1, 3, and 5. And loathe 2 and 4. The former are some of the best modern day horror movies out there though.

The highway pile-up premonition is incredible, and remains one of the best scenes of the entire franchise, but everything after that is embarrassingly bad. The characters are awful, the effects are bad, and the acting is atrocious (though this series is never going to be known for incredible acting even in the better cases, so.) I love that FD1 has a more somber tone and isn't quite so over the top, but I find the execution really clunky at times; it feels like a prototype of a good FD film instead of a really good one, if that makes sense. Like all the better elements of the series are there, but so are some really bad ones that the sequels were smart to strip away. I used to really love FD3, but it's getting worse with age. The effects are mostly terrible, and the rollercoaster crash is underwhelming considering the potential. TFD is just awful. FD5 is far and away my favorite of the franchise, and serves as a fitting end if no more films are ever made. |

That's why I loved 2 so much the highway crash looked so real omg that guy burning trying to get his seatbelt off.Had me shivering but the scene were her car w/ her friends init get hit lmao you can so tell their dummies especially her girlfriend handing out the sunroof it's funny to watch that part.

Oh for sure I love the opening highway crash no doubt it’s great. But the bridge collapse is personally my favorite.

I'll have to pay closer attention to when her friends get hit, bahaha. My fave part of the highway crash is the beginning of it, when the log comes bouncing off the log truck. Just the other day, my sister and I saw a log truck and we looked at one another and both went "FINAL DESTINATION" and that was the closest I've ever felt to someone who wasn't a cat. Oh for sure I love the opening highway crash no doubt it’s great. But the bridge collapse is personally my favorite. The bridge collapse is very good also. FD5 has some of the best effects work in the series (well, besides Candace falling and getting impaled on that boat or whatever, that was tragic... and also Sam's premonition death.) My fave premonitions in order would probs be: Final Destination 2 Final Destination 5 Final Destination Final Destination 3 (such a wasted opportunity; horribly directed) The Final Destination (why tho?) |
