ONE GOOD SCARE is a community for horror fans from all walks of life to come together and discuss the genre. Whether you're a seasoned horror veteran, a newcomer looking to broaden your horizons, or somewhere in-between, we welcome your contribution to our community. Here are some resources to help you get started.
FORUM RULES & POSTING GUIDELINES
BE COURTEOUS. Just be good people. Do not blatantly antagonize or threaten other members or staff.
BE RESPECTFUL. We all have differing opinions, backgrounds, and experiences. Discourse is to be expected; flaming is not.
DISCRIMINATION & BIGOTRY. Attacks based on race, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, etc. are not allowed.
PROFANITY. Considering the subject matter, some profanity is to be expected. However, use discretion. You're not a character in a Tarantino film.
SPELLING & GRAMMAR. Nobody's perfect. Please at least make an attempt to communicate in coherent sentences.
POST FORMATTING. Do not use ALL CAPS in thread titles or gooverboard with the formatting in posts (and please, for all of our sake, don't use Comic Sans).
PIRACY. Do not promote or post links to pirated material or other illegally-obtained copyrighted material. We're not trying to get sued.
SEXUALLY EXPLICIT MATERIAL. Do not post sexually explicit images or videos, or links to such material. There are other outlets for that.
POST IN THE APPROPRIATE SECTIONS. If you've made a mistake, no worries. Just PM a staff member and we'll fix it for you.
SPAM & TROLLING. Please refrain. If that's what you do for fun, maybe find a new hobby (or a new psychiatrist).
GRAPHICS & FAN FICTION - HONOR SYSTEM. Do not take credit for others' hard work. You may only post your own work in these areas. Works created by others can be posted in the appropriate forums.
USER DISCRETION IS ADVISED. Some content might be kinda gross, or kinda scary, or kinda NSFW. We're not responsible if your boss or your infant child or your grandmother is offended.
Be advised that any content, including signatures and statuses, that are deemed by our staff to violate the above guidelines can result in warnings or bans.
