PREMISE
A remake of Tobe Hooper's 1981 slasher film. A group of teenagers take a trip to the traveling carnival. But when they decide to spend the night in the funhouse, they uncover a dark secret that just might kill them.
CHARACTERS
BRANDON TURK [18]. Jennifer’s date for the evening, much to her disappointment. He’s got a macho exterior, but he’s all bark and no bite. Striving to impress everyone at all times – especially the ladies.
ELLIE RUSSELL [17]. On the outside of the main friend group. Desperately wishing she weren’t. But she’s a year too young and they’re too cool. She’s cynical and jaded whereas the others are still naive. She keeps them in check, as much as they hate to admit it.
HALEY RUSSELL [18]. Ellie’s older sister. She lacks the innocence of the other girls. She’s carefree – but that doesn’t mean she’s stupid. She wishes she were a sex symbol, but she’s too much of a big geek at heart to pull it off.
JENNIFER BECKNER [18]. Innocent and feminine up until recently. Now she’s kind of a rebel, much to her parents’ disappointment. She’s an innocent and feminine rebel, but a rebel nonetheless. She and Haley are inseparable.
LONNIE [21]. A college student. Definitely a huge nerd. Fascinated with all things creepy or disgusting. He’s lame, but he’s cute.
SCOTT DAY [18]. Brandon’s best friend. A bit geeky but seriously in denial about it. He wants to be as cool as he perceives Brandon to be – but no such luck. He and Haley are dating.
SHAWN [21]. Alpha-male. A bit of a dick, but somehow charming. A know-it-all.
WHITNEY [21]. Feisty and fun, but easily frightened. Somehow she’s dating Lonnie. Even she isn’t sure how that happened.
