PREMISE
A complete reinvention of the 2011 Victor Salva film of the same name. Rosewood Lane tells the story of Sonny Blake, a self-help author and radio personality who moves back into her father's home upon his death. As childhood trauma comes flooding back, Sonny is overcome with grief and a flurry of mixed emotions. But Sonny's emotional pain will prove to be the least of her worries, as she finds herself being stalked by the creepy neighborhood paperboy.
CHARACTERS
SONNY BLAKE [30]. A radio personality and self-help author trying to come to terms with her past following the death of her father by moving into his old home -- but the old memories may prove too much for Sonny to handle.
DEREK BARBER [18]. A potentially dangerous youth, whom nobody seems to really know. The source of the neighborhood’s collective fear.
TREY TANNER [late 30s]. Sonny’s boyfriend. Distant. Travels a lot. Never seems to be around when Sonny needs him. Needless to say, their relationship is on the rocks.
ERIK SHELTON [35]. Sonny’s ex. A bartender in the city. She broke his heart when she moved away. As much as he hates to admit it, he wants her back.
PAULA CRENSHAW [30]. A fellow radio personality and old friend of Sonny’s. Works in the local radio station. Hasn’t seen Sonny in nearly five years, and is eager to rekindle their relationship.
ARLENE PLUMMER [40]. Sonny’s next-door neighbor, a single mother. A paranoid individual who has experienced the paperboy’s crimes firsthand on numerous occasions.
LUCY PLUMMER [15]. A shy and introverted young woman who has not spoken a word for over two years. Seeing parallels between herself and Lucy, Sonny takes the girl under her wing.
DR. JANE TALBOTT [55]. An old friend of Sonny’s who works at the local children’s shelter. Thinks Sonny’s attempt to come to terms with her past may do her more harm than good.
DETECTIVE SABATINO [35]. A local detective familiar with Sonny’s work who is put on Sonny's case.
