PLOT
On what would be the twenty-first birthday of their baby sister, Kathleen, the Halorand siblings are summoned home for a final visit with their dying, estranged mother, Gloria. Once there, the family is forced to confront its dark past in the form of a seemingly benevolent spirit... And a not-so-benevolent axe murderer.

GLORIA HALORAN: 50s. A controlling, jaded matriarch. Used to run tthe house with an iron fist, but these days doesn’t have the energy. It’s said the cancer is taking a toll on her sanity. Or at least that’s how they explain her frequent conversations with “Kathleen”.
KATHLEEN HALORAN: 11. Gloria’s “sweet, innocent little girl”. Ten years ago, she met her demise in the pond out back. Now she’s said to roam the halls of her former home - forever. Are the stories true? Depends on who you ask.
BILLIE HALORAN: 25. Playful and naive, almost to a fault. As the last surviving daughter, she’s been spoiled to death by Gloria. In recent years, she’s grown some independence. But still struggles with city life.
JOHNNY HALORAN: 32. The eldest, and most fun loving child. Johnny has a strained relationship with the others at best, but is trying to put it on the mend. His motto is “go big or go home”, typically going out of his way to bring the fun.
RICHIE HALORAN: 30. An intelligent, well-mannered gentlemanly type. Richie tends to be the wisest of his siblings, and proudly takes after “mom”. That said he has his scars - both physical and mental as a combat veteran often does.
LOUISE ABOTT: 28. A sultry and devious gold digger. Determined to get a ring from her long-term boyfriend, Johnny, by whatever means necessary. An obvious “black sheep” and there for the money, but fun to party with none-the-less.
KANE MITCHELL: 30. Richie’s posh, but incredibly sweet supermodel fiance. Could be stuck-up, but goes out of her way to subvert ]expectations. Kane hasn’t quite found her “place” in the family dynamic yet - but is getting there.
SIMON REACHER: 27. Billie’s spirited, sometimes loud-mouthed new beau. Simon is an active type rather than a homebody, very rarely sitting still for long. Really into Billie and would do just about anything for her - but may be a little too much.
ARTHUR TOMBS: 35. The quiet, but extremely friendly groundskeeper of the castle. His family has looked after it for generations, and as far as he’s concerned will continue to. A childhood friend of the Haloran kids and an unoffical “fourth” sibling.
